Working with Parents

We aim to involve parents in their child’s education from the time their child arrives at the school.

A home-school diary system is used to ensure regular daily communication between staff and parents; this is particularly crucial for children who do not have the communication skills to tell their parents "what happened at school today".

Parents’ evenings are held in the autumn term so that parents and teachers can discuss plans and objectives for the year ahead.

Records of achievement are sent home for parents to see in the summer term, and parents are then invited to an individual Annual Review meeting at which they have an opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and their objectives for the following year.

Curriculum workshops on a range of topics are offered to parents throughout the year
