To create a happy, healthy and secure learning environment in which all pupils’ needs are met
To enable each child to reach his or her individual potential
To give all pupils access to the National Curriculum through Individual Education Plans tailored to their specific needs
To work in partnership with parents to provide educational experiences which complement their efforts at home
To offer every pupil opportunities for integrated educational experiences with their peer group in the nursery, primary and secondary schools whose sites we share
To support pupils in developing practical and social skills that can be used at school, at home and in the community
To enable confident young people to leave John Watson School and take their rightful place in the community as independently as possible
To be a centre of excellence for special education
To play an active role in the local community
